I believe I've previously mentioned my penchant for trying new things. Especially when it comes to food. If I see something on a menu that I've never tasted before, my first instinct is always to order it.
So I enjoyed filling out the Omnivore's 100. I'm 80% of the way there! Though I think I'll save #75 for last.

Hey KT
You've never had borscht? mmm...it is what changed your mind about beets. And Poutine is just fries w/ gravy and cheese curd. Good stuff. So canadian.
actually, i already love *love* beets, so i hope it doesn't change my mind about them. ;)
i have nothing against borscht or canada. just haven't had the chance to try either of those dishes yet. if you know of a good spot for borscht in sf, let me know!
I can't believe I've had absinthe and you haven't! It's not that great. But the color is pretty.
No Borscht!? How can that be?
Well, there's some yummy borscht at Veselka, in east village (near all the Japanese goodness). Also I always ordered it with the Spaghetti Bolognese at the 24-hour Hong Kong cafe in ol Silicon Valley. I'm guessing Veselka's is more authentic.
And I nearly ordered poutine in Canada and now regret having not tried it. Next time I see it I'm gettin' it!
